Motorcycle rental in Ireland

Wouldn't it be wonderful to board a plane and be able to pick up your rental motorcycle on the island in a completely relaxed manner? Yes, absolutely!

There now seem to be several motorcycle rental companies, as well as providers of motorcycles and pre-planned tours that are already arranged in advance, except for the journey there. If desired.

In Northern Ireland, I am "only" aware of the motorcycle rental company Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd in Lisburn in Lisburn (about 20km from Belfast).

The engine size range spans from 125cc to 900cc machines. Helmets, motorcycle clothing, and accessories are also available for rent for a fee.

Of course, the bikes can also be driven to the Republic of Ireland, but this must be declared beforehand and will result in different insurance premiums.

Update June 22, 2008 : I received a tip that there's another motorcycle rental company in Naas (about 40 km from Dublin Airport). MOTORCYCLE RENTAL IRELAND has several motorcycles available (including choppers and Harleys); clothing in all sizes can also be rented for a fee. Please note: the minimum age is 23!
