9th and last day, June 29, 2005

The ninth and final day of our stay took us from Dublin back to Rosslare Harbour, a distance of 172 km. After briefly discussing the route, we decided on a tour through the Wicklow Mountains.

Initially, it didn't look like we would be able to drive this route as it was raining quite heavily, but after a short time, Petrus realized that he too is a biker and took pity on us.

After our final loop through the unfortunately misty Wicklow Mountains, we continued on to Glendalough National Park, which, given more time, offers and even encourages a long walk. We anticipate visiting this beautiful park again with much more time.

I had this luck two years ago, but the tour was planned differently then, and we planned this stop as part of a full-day tour and only went to Dublin afterwards.

At the end of the tour, we arrived at the port at 3:45 pm Irish time and unfortunately didn't have time to properly say goodbye to Matt, as we were practically forced to drive onto the ferry so that more cars could be loaded. Due to the start of the school holidays in some counties, the ferry was fully booked, hence the rush during loading.
