The arrival day was forecast to be a long drive; it was around 293 km to our accommodation in Tralee. We started in Rosslare Harbour and toured via Waterford, Carric-on-Suir, Cashel, Newcastle West, and Castleisland to Tralee. In Cashel, we visited the Rock of Cashel and had a bite to eat in town.

By the way: if you want to fortify yourself with pizza in particular, or with other hot meals, in Ireland, you'll encounter a new pricing system. Nevertheless, the restaurants are well-frequented.

The Rock of Cashel offers an English-language guided tour and the opportunity to watch a German-language film, well done and informative.

Afterwards, we continued on to Tralee to the Denton B&B. We think Eileen's place is one of the best accommodations we've stayed in. Eileen and her family are very kind, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms have a shower/toilet and a TV. We were also allowed to park the motorcycles behind the house again, where they weren't visible from the street and a "sweet" dog watched over them. But don't open the gate to the backyard if the dog isn't on a leash, as he seems to have a strong urge to roam ;-).

Just 50 meters away is the Medowlands Hotel with a very good Pub and bar food until 9:00 pm.

Upon arrival and before each overnight stay, guests at the B&Bs are asked when and what they would like for breakfast the following morning (Irish breakfast or vegetarian). This has been the case in all the family homes we have stayed at so far, which we clearly prefer. The houses with the Irish shamrock logo are standardized and offer little to no individual touches.
