Day 2, May 28, 2003

The next day we continued on to Kinsale, a small port town. The next port town was Clonakilty, then we continued along a coastal road to Rosscarbery Bay. A nice little stop at the beach to stretch our legs. We then continued into the Kerry Mountains, where I couldn't take in the beautiful scenery so quickly. For my first visit to Ireland, I could have stopped constantly to take it all in

We then had an unplanned stop in Bantry because Matt's throttle cable snapped unexpectedly, making it impossible to continue riding his Superfour. A quick call to his acquaintance clarified the location of the moped so he could pick it up with his trailer for repairs.

Matt's journey continued with me as a passenger. So, on the second day, I got to ride ahead and concentrate on driving on the left. Nevertheless, I didn't miss the scenery, but again, I couldn't take as many photos as I wanted – what a shame!

Before heading to our next bed and breakfast in Tralee, we stopped at Ladies View , supposedly one of the most beautiful spots in Ireland. Having seen so far, I can't really say which one is the most beautiful. It's a magnificent country; how am I supposed to know what else I'll see and experience?

We arrived in Tralee at Denton B&B in the late afternoon, where Eileen gave us a very warm welcome. It's a lovely, well-maintained house with immaculate rooms. The breakfast is very varied and can be customized to your liking. Highly recommended!
